Event Description-

The management world is fast growing. The quest towards management expertise begins here. Apart from offering a unique opportunity to aspiring entrepreneurs, this event offers a platform for all those who vie for success at an inter collegiate level. Thus by a series of events like a case study, presentations and personal interview by professionals, we are in search of a management guru.

RULES N REGULATIONS:

No. of participants: 3 per team

Preliminary Round:

Any manager should have the ability to successfully deal with different classes of people, ranging from a peon to the ceo of his company. He must be smart enough to get his work done and at the same time keep others satisfied. This involves a great deal of practical knowledge and creativity”.

A written test in this round tests your creativity and thought process. Apart from your creativity, your sense of judgment and perception form important criteria for your qualification to the next round. The teams are expected to keep realistic and precise with their solutions.

• This test consists of 15 questions.
• 10 teams will be selected for the next round.
• Questions do not carry negative marking.
• The most correct as well as creative answers will guarantee a team’s entry into the next round
• Questions with no fixed answers will be purely graded on originality of thought and expression.
• Students of  NIT Raipur will have to submit only their answers written in an A4 sheet at the drop boxes which shall be placed in the registration desks from Thursday evening.
• All outside entries or queries should be sent to mguru.eclectika@gmail.com before 18:00pm on 19th March’ 2010.
• The subject of the E-mail shall contain the college and team name.
• The body of the mail shall contain the names of the team members, branch, semester, college in the following order:

• Team members:

• Name 1; Branch; Semester; College
• Name 2; Branch; Semester; College
• Name 3; Branch; Semester; College
• All participating teams should submit their answers in .DOC format.
• All the answers, descriptions, graphs, posters should be included in a single file attachment.
• The maximum limit for explaination of any question is 100 words. Additional credit shall be given to precise and brief answers.
• The poster to be designed should be normal A4 size poster and size should be kept minimal (Participants should lay emphasis on advertising and not display).
• The graph should have all the necessary details as mentioned in the question.
• One very important point to bear in mind is that the answers that you provide in the preliminary round may have a certain amount of bearing in the following rounds directly or indirectly.

• In the following rounds, your true mettle shall be tested and scrutinized in the best possible manner. Auctions, case studies and a series of surprise rounds shall test numerous attributes, from management skills to leadership, from versatility to confidence, from presence of mind to social skills.
• A team shall qualify and pass through all the stages , but finally our final round decides just one winner, one individual, one M'Guru...
